Pan Trinbago kicked off the first of the two Tobago "Pan in the Countryside" Pan event on Saturday July 7th 2012. The venue was in Charlotteville which lies Northeast on the Sister Isle.

We were entertained with Single Pans by Metro Stars and Natural Mystic, Conventionals by Westside Symphony, Dixieland, Steel Xplosion and Redemption Sound Setters. The event was well attended with some Trinis bringing up the rear. I enjoyed the renditions of all the Steel Orchestras. Gone are the days when one could have differentiated between the "Twin Islands" Steel Orchestras. I am happy that only Pan Music was played by the DJ in the interim of each the band's performance.

I was impressed with the sales booth that the Pan Trinbago, Tobago Region had, displaying many items relating to Pan. I hope that the Head Quarters in Trinidad will take notice, because many items I saw are not on display in Trinidad.

The last leg of Tobago's "Pan in the Countryside" is scheduled for September, and I hope that it will be as well attended.
