With the preliminary round of judging completed, representatives of the participating bands witnessed the opening of the score sheets and the tallying of points by Pan Trinbago officials earlier today. Codrington Pan Family of East Dry River playing the oldie goldie “All I Have To Do Is Dream” arranged by Cary Codrington amassed 266 points for their effort. At the end of the exercise, a new champion will be crowned as last year’s winner Marsicans failed to qualify. The finalists in order of merit are as follows:- 1. Self Help Marines Dr. Love 237 Pan Down Memory Lane Finals will be staged on Tuesday 14 April 2009 at the Arima Velodrome, Hollis Street, Arima, from 8:00 pm. The event is produced by Pan Trinbago and sponsored by The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs and TSTT Adjudicators are Michelle Huggins-Watts, Jeanette Johnson, Sherry Ann Saunders and Victor Prescod. Pan Down Memory Lane Competition is open to Single Pan Bands with a maximum of 35 players. Each band must play a non-calypso tune in calypso tempo of not more than six (6) minutes duration.
