Have the persons that have been advocating for the removal of the sitting Pan Trinbago Executive realized how similar (and dangerous) their actions are with Donand Trump's withdrawal from the JCPoA?

All that The CIP has been able to do is to ensure that the Keith Diaz led executive serve out their term despite all the brouhaha taking place behind the scenes. Although forming an unholy alliance with Mr. Diaz in an effort to wipe out Forteau and his accomplices, they unwittingly ensured a continuation of the condition they set out to end.

Similarly, although Trump paraded on the global stage expelling Russian diplomats and supporting sanctions against Russia, by pulling America out of the Iran Nuclear deal, he ensured their continued prosperity, as the consequential inevitable hike in oil prices is of immense benefit to Russia and its oligarchs.

This is what the New York Times published in January 2018:

Rising Oil Prices Buoy Russia’s Economy, Despite Sanctions

"It was not the prospect of more sanctions, of course, that was buoying the Moscow markets but the global price of oil, which has been soaring to heights not seen in several years.

“Sanctions are important, that is for sure, especially for the market and for debt and equity investors, but for G.D.P. and the life of ordinary Russians, oil is far more important,” said Vladimir Osakovskiy, chief economist for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Moscow, referring to Russia’s gross domestic product.

Rising global oil prices, which hit a three-year peak last week above $70 a barrel, are brightening Russia’s once gloomy outlook.

Goldman Sachs has forecast economic growth of 3.3 percent for 2018, well above even the government’s own estimates. Consumer spending is picking up. Inflation has dropped to 2 percent, a level once unimaginable for Russia."

I am almost certain that The CIP were not aware of the the implications of their actions, as instead of putting pressure on the incumbent remnants of the executive, they are putting pressure on the average Panman. Based on the rumors circulating on the ground, and the evidence in the public domain, the infighting and back stabbing taking place in the CIP could spell disaster for the Steelband movement. Steelband leaders are being advised by their members to distance themselves from The CIP, as they have no confidence in the people that they see fronting as the future of pan, as all they see are bankrupt faces of the PAST, anxious to continue with the self-aggrandizementfeeding frenzy, and corruption that exists at PRESENT.

As the battle for 14-17 Park Street, Port of Spain rages on, the current occupants of that insolvent organization have been able to skillfully outmaneuver the opposition with strategic diplomacy, which unfortunately does not focus on bilateral and multilateral diplomatic relationships.

  • ...The Battle for 14-17 Park Street, Port of Spain is primarily a battle for control of;

    • Government subvention
    • Complimentary tickets to public events
    • Panorama
    • Champs in Concert (I am not the godfather)
    • Freeness authorized by those who have nothing, and should expect nothing

among other things, which accounts for substantial revenue.

As my foregoing comment states, there are many who exploit the numerous opportunities that are available for the supply of the range of goods and services that pan has to offer, independent of any initiatives by Pan Trinbago. In other words, steeelbands, and panmen with the capacity to effectively, and efficiently independently market themselves, may not necessarily, may not necessarily, need or require Pan Trinbago, although in some instances, quite likely many instances, rubber stamping by Pan Trinbago may be helpful.

I say the above to emphasize that The Battle for 14-17 Park Street, Port of Spain is primarily a battle for control of delegates of steelbands that must of necessity "Beg" for their supper, and that is what the experienced campaigners know. However, ordinary band leaders, many who of necessity must beg for their suppers, are beginning to question if THE CIP is as transparent as they declared the sitting president to be on national TV, and are concerned that the message the CIP is relaying is inconsistent, and misleading.

I will leave it there for now.

I will take my leave from this forum for a while, and engage in activities more productive and profitable as...

THE PAN TRINBAGO platform provides a lot of gravitas. Linked with the right DIPLOMATIC APPROACH -- millions can be brought into the LOCAL WORLD OF PAN.

Yes it does! It can also be politically manipulated, or bypassed, by the executive, and by organizations, groups and individuals with the capacity to initiate the necessary wheels into motion independently.

  • Mr. Gonzales, it is no secret that we import more oil than we produce daily, as our daily consumption of refined products is much greater than our supply of the raw materials required to meet production to supply that demand. although many of us simply refuse to believe that. Higher oil prices also means that without notice, we spend much more of the foreign exchange that we earn. Guess who we import most of our oil from, Russia.

T&T imports more oil, mostly from Russia

If we were to examine Sullivan's proposals in Keith Subero's article, without much digging we would discover that the demand for the range of goods and services that makeup the product that is Pan, is much greater than the supply, an opportunity that seems to have been exploited by two of many men, guess who are those two men? Keith Diaz and Nestor Sullivan, and there is no need for me to describe the range of goods and services of which I speak in this context. However in the spirit of the late great Dr. Morgan Job, "with shallow jackasses as eduction officers...", how on earth could Diaz's vision (as part of an organizational vision) for international marketing of goods and services be sold successfully, propagated locally as part of our culture, as the metric system, as "your" (our) transition from the British monetary system to dollars and cents in Trinidad and Tobago, given your age?

As inconclusive as I consider the above comment to be, I consider the message and intent clear, so that anyone can easily expand on it.

  • Russell Providence is looking at what TRUMP is doing for PUTIN and RUSSIA!!!

And Claude Gonzales is looking at what TRUMP is doing for ROWLEY and TRINIDAD!!!

For TRINIDAD, higher OIL PRICES over the next two years guarantees a WIN FOR ROWLEY in 2020. And that translates to an ever increasing CRIME RATE through 2025.

That little 16-year-old boy getting kill in that fashion yesterday on his birthday broke my heart. I am also putting that murder in my HATE CRIME FOLDER.

Oh, ah forget is ah PAN FORUM and the topic is the management of PAN TRINBAGO. On that score, it does not matter which GROUP of PAN MEN you put to run PAN TRINBAGO -- the results WILL BE THE SAME. They will sit down in the office at 14-17 Park Street and they will wait for ROWLEY and DOLLY to pass the OIL MONEY. And DIAZ AND FORTEAU could start smiling because the allocation might be a lot higher for 2019 since we might be looking at $75 to $80 a barrel.
