  • Hello Robert,

How are things in massaland (lol)

In 1976, Pan Trinbago instituted Zonal Finals, so the bands that qualified for the finals would have performed at Prelims, Zonals, Semis and Finals. This could break down to: Preliminaries, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals.  In the mid-nineties, the Zonals were terminated.

This may not answer your question, because, the question is, were any bands eliminated at the Zonals (lol)

  • Bede,

I am so angry at myself; I did not mark the info on the cassette, and now it is like a needle in a haystack.

I am still checking though. (lol)

    • A new question:   Was there ever a quarter final in the National Panorama contest and if there was one, in what year did it take place?

  • Val, you cannot beat Bede, You have to ask him hard questions like, what was Westside Symphony's tune of choice at the Panorama finals of 1965? (lol)

    • Thanks Ian for getting Panonthenet (WST) to update their Past National Panorama Results with Westside Symphony placing 3rd in 1965 tune of choice "Hold on to your man" instead of Steering Wheel. It was a well fought battle on the WST Forum. Pantrinbago still have West Side Symphony tune of choice as Steering Wheel in 1965 (lol)  That's why WHEN STEEL TALKS IN THE BEST PAN WEBSITE, (BTW Ian, where is the tune Hold on to your man by Westside you supposed to mail to me?)

  • The year of 1968 with 12 Bands selected
