Terrence Sealey, arranger for the T&T Prison Service Single Pan Band

History is being made at this year’s Trinidad and Tobago 2017 National Panorama Single Pan Finals on January 29 when the T&T Prison Service Single Pan Band performs, after making their inaugural entry into the competition during the preliminaries. With a complement of thirty players, arranger Terrence Sealey led the band on a successful preliminary performance. Performing Iwer George’s “Nah Do That” the band secured a spot in the Single Pan finals.

Terrence Sealey is a prison officer II who has arranged for birdsong Steel Orchestra in east Trinidad, and the Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra in Canada. In addition Sealey has a bachelor of arts from the University of the West Indies and a bachelor of performing arts from UTT (University of Trinidad & Tobago). The pans for the Prison Service band were tuned by former prison officer and band master Lennard Lera.
