Well, I have been chiding the CIP for almost a year now because I saw the futility of their movement. (Ah mean who in T&T could oppose THE RIGHT HONOURBALE and live to tell the tale.) But suddenly I was being accused of following Russell's gospel and jumping on the man bandwagon. If ah had feelings that woulda hurt them.
Yuh see, while the CIP was JUMPING UP and celebrating VICTORY OVER DIAZ (about a month go) I did done know about the SECRET MEETING that went down among FORTEAU and THE NCC and DOCTOR DOLLY to cheat the PAN MEN out of their performance fees for PANORAMA 2018 and to set up KEITH DIAZ to run PANORAMA 2018. My CRYSTAL BALL was not broken as AA was trying to convince the forum. So the CIP have a lot to learn about the POLITICS OF PAN.
And when a NEW MAN like RUSSELL PROVIDENCE come on the forum and EXPRESS SOME VIEWS just read them and accept or reject them. Don't freak out and RUN THE MAN OFF THE FORUM. A man like RP is still in the BIG LOOP down there so he might throw out some useful hints along the way. I will go far as to say that RUSSELL PROVIDENCE might just wake up one day and JUMP BACK in the PAN FRAY.
So is time for the CIP to listen to RUSSELL and CLAUDE and throw in the PAN TRINBAGO TOWEL. Come back on the forum with a new project like BRINGING PAN BACK ON THE ROAD FOR CARNIVAL with people pushing just like in the SIXTIES and the BANDS playing EUROPEAN MUSIC.

Gregory: All dem nuts and bolts yuh lining up on the forum here have no relevance to the BIG PICTURE. They cut the budget down to $22 MILLION and SHAFT THE PAN PLAYERS in the PROCESS -- end of story.
If DOLLY was a serious ADMINISTRATOR she would have called in the CIP and had a meeting with them to see how everybody could work together to end the bickering and make the PANORAMA more EQUITABLE. But instead she call Diaz and Forteau into a private meeting and make AH DOG BONE DEAL with them -- declaring the CIP null and void in the process.
Ah thought yuh promise TO MARCH on Rowley Office and TO MARCH on Dolly Office. Boy KEITH DIAZ have everybody tie up. So much so that DOLLY had to POSTPONE THE AUDIT and put KEITH DIAZ back on the NCC BOARD.

Claude, you are spot on with "relevance to the Big Picture" If the CIP present that at the next meeting, Diaz and his people will get up and leave the meeting and tell them take him to court. I have a funny suspicion the CIP feel they can't win the election, that's why they are desperately trying to remove Diaz now.

In the 22 million budget..... Here are a few anomalies I picked up.....
One, there will be no single pan national semifinal....69 single pan bands will get 12000/TTD for appearance and assistance fees, and after that, prelim stage,.....49 single pan orchestras will be cut until finals....with 20 bands moving through on zero assistance, with exception of finalists Players remittance of 500.00 TTD............mind you single pan orchestras make up the largest constituency of orchestras within the movement, and are continuously given the least appearance and assistance fees, solidifying Michael Joseph's claim that this grouping of bands are virtually treated in Panorama as the circus clowns of the competition......the Largest grouping of Diaz's political power base as you call it, getting the longest end of the political shaft....
Second chew bone for you, the assistance and appearance fee structure to conventional bands at the semifinals stage, amongst the zonal quota system proposed, is incrementally higher up to 20% in some cases, as compared to the preliminary stage....where there was no money before....now there is a trough, in respect to rewarding qualification not on the basis of merit and excellence, but on a system of highly subjective judging bias towards placing in particular unsponsored steel orchestras at an extraordinary unfair advantage coming into the competition.
Last bone today,......the prize money structure, particularly in conventional categories in the 1st Six Placings have not been affected, by the cuts in an effort to retain the carrot and stick approach towards keeping unsponsored bands bankrupt, deaf, dumb and blind, going into this soup called a Panorama final.
Like Michael Joseph opined in his last official PRO post,.... This Panorama will be MardiGras Panorama not a CANBOULAY panorama.....dis is Panorama for Sponsored bands.... Where sponsors will simply get an invoice to pickup the shortfall.
The solution to this madness in the MECCA,....give every band an amount for assistance and appearance for coming out contractually ON DE ROAD for the Carnival, perhaps strategically linking up with Etienne Charles ole time band presentation... WE THE PEOPLE,.....and go full retro....Pan on de Road for 2018.......
Outside of that solution, in conventional category, if this proposal touches the ground then court house clothes in de middle of the competition at semis....

I regret to inform you Bro. but Pan on the road for a few hours Carnival Monday is very possible, just waiting on someone in the Mecca to run with the idea. The new NCC committee have no choice but to look at a place for the steelband as they try to make over Carnival.

The thing is even going to get worse because that ELECTRIC CAR is on the horizon and you know what that is going to mean for GAS PRICES and the whole TT economy if they don't focus on economic diversification with a HUFF and PUFF.
