From a lover and listener of steelpan music. No professed expert. Please!! I hear frontline and base lines in the arrangement. My favorite in the family of instruments is the guitar pan. I hear the guitar breathing in the middle. Sweeeet and simple melody. A summary of the dynamics, the anticipation of the moment before a band gets on stage. Love the contemporary voice capturing the essence of the tradition. She immortalized the music she lives. To encapsulate all of this spirit is the chorus, "Push", so symbolic of the birthing process. A labor of love, months to rehearse to grow the music. Finally on Panorama night the music is delivered on the greatest stage on earth. "Push". For me it's not about who win. Push is already a winner. Love it!!
