With 2021 being the 70th anniversary since TASPO, We want to show our appreciation by celebrating a showcase of London’s Finest youth steelbands and Steel pan making workshop demo. There are many young people who spend countless hours during the summer holiday as part of a steelpan programme, but there is very limited events to showcase their work. Young people are provided the opportunity to learn music theory, arrange (create) music.
To show case the versatility of the steelpan instrument we are asking the steel bands to perform five rounds of different genres, they each have up to five minutes to perform the genres below. The classical round pay homage to the late great Frank Rollock one of many known for introducing and encouraging young people to play classical music on steelpan.

- Soca/calypso
- Pop
- Reggae
- Classical (The Frank Rollock Round)
- Wild Card – you pick (can’t be the same as above)

- Croydon Steel Orchestra
- Ebony Steelband
- New Generation Orchestra
- St Michaels & All Angels Steel Orchestra
- Southside Harmonics Steelband Orchestra
