Trinidad, W.I.- The band is captained by Pete Braxton, 22, who has been with the band for the past ten years, with Marchan and Bailey and as first and second vice captains respectively.

But while winning Panorama is the band’s focus, “because everybody likes to win”, the main intention continues to bring a group of people together.

[Franka] Hills-Headley said, “This year we intend to change our environment. Our physical environment, our space will be clean, the way we interact with each other must change. When we get outside as a band, we must impact the people around us and cause those we meet to change their impression of young people.”

....She continued, “Seven of our members have already completed their Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music at UWI, some are still there while others are at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. They are balancing academics and pan well. Some of our young men in the band have learnt to weld and can build pan racks. This year we are building our own racks.”
