After Andre-Roger put up those two SOCA SONGS it got me thinking. The GOVERNMENT is talking plenty BIG TALK about generating FOREIGN EXCHANGE from CALYPSO and PAN. But because ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS are so greatly lacking down in LAX we can't see the forest from the trees.

Imagine a 12 GREATEST HITS PAN CD and a 12 GREATEST HITS SOCA CD!!!

And then imagine HUNDREDS OF THOUSAND of CULTURALLY STARVED and NOSTALGIC EXPATS and their sphere of influence all over the world -- gobbling up this music. We have a built-in market for those products and NOBODY down in the MECCA is making the smallest attempt to capitalize on that.

I know the Mervyn Dymally story and the small-mindedness and petty jealousies that exist between the LOCALS and EXPATS  factions ... but LORD HAVE MERCY can't we PUT OUR HEADS TOGETHER AND LIVE LIKE ONE HAPPY FAMILY. (Sorry Brynner: I stole your line!!!)

Or are we so bent on PROMOTING CRIME that NOTHING ELSE MATTERS?
