... when a STEELBAND decides to PLAY A CALYPSO -- is few men left in THIS WORLD who brave enough to walk down a DARK ALLEY with me AFTER MIDNIGHT and argue CALYPSO!!!

I eh come to TRINIDAD on NO BOAT and I see myself as a BORN AND BRED TRINIDAD NATIONALIST when it comes to CALYPSO CULTURE.

And, BY DEFAULT, I developed an ear for PAN MUSIC having been born in the late FORTIES and listening to PAN DEVELOP as they TRIED TO PLAY CALYPSO -- as I grew up in TRINIDAD from birth.

I am a REAL TRINDADIAN -- and the kind of MIMICRY I heard in those STEELBANDS (pretending to play CALYPSO) last night ... makes me want to go and JUMP OFF THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE.

And when I add in all that NONSENSE that BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE is selling GULLIBLE pan lovers about SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION through PAN (when they cannot even PLAY A TRINIDAD CALYPSO IN CALYPSO) while the MURDER RATE KEEPS breaking new records (under a government crime plan only understood by a few) -- all I could do is CRY FOR MY COUNTRY!!!
