And when she LISTEN to the 2020 PANORAMA and apply her MUSIC EDUCATION -- she SUDDENLY IDENTIFY ONE BAND that MAMAGUY EVERYBODY (MUSICALLY SPEAKING -- as it pertains to the JUDGING CRITERIA) and still end up COMING SECOND.
So she RAISED THE CONTRADICTION in PUBLIC -- because it MADE NO SENSE TO HER.
Well, she was IMMEDIATELY MINIMIZED and accused of being a LOWLY PAN PLAYER and NOT AN ARRANGER. So she should stay on the SIDELINES and SHUT UP.
But the YOUNG LADY have SPUNK -- and she eh laying low just so ... because she put in ALL SHE TIME and STUDY THE MUSIC THEORY. And ANY TRINIDADIAN PAN LOVER (with the ODD EXCEPTION) will tell you that PAN DOES PLAY MUSIC ... they even go so far as to say THAT PAN could play ANY KINDA MUSIC.
But here is my problem (it have ah term in cricket called "NOT AH MAN MOVE") and I am wondering how since THE YOUNG LADY put out she CRITIQUE -- NOT AH MAN MOVE TO COUNTER SHE.
And all the HUNDREDS of articles and postings that I does have to read to KEEP UP with THIS FORUM -- I would expect ONE COMMENTATOR to come on THIS FORUM and straighten out that LITTLE UPSTART on the SUBJECT OF MUSIC and PANORAMA MUSIC.
Now some people may wonder why ah BEATING THIS HORSE SO HARD -- well, I know what CALYPSO MUSIC is supposed to SOUND LIKE doh matter WHAT INSTRUMENT playing it. And for years I have been complaining (and taking meh licks, eh) on this PARTICULAR SUBJECT ... from a NATIVE PERSPECTIVE.
So when ah read that EXCHANGE with ALEXICA and SHE GANG and ah see how they SO CONFIDENT in their ASSESSMENT of the ARRANGEMENT -- ah have to CALL OUT the MAINSTREAM PAN CULTURE and beg them to COME AND DEFEND DEY POSITION.
Ah CYAR BELIEVE that a LOWLY PAN PLAYER could OUT DEBATE the WHOLE PANORAMA COMMUNITY on a PANORAMA ARRANGEMENT!!!
Please: SOMEBODY, come and DEFEND THE ESTABLISHMENT against this LOWLY PAN PLAYER!!!
