Everybody just focused on PANORAMA and bringing PAN back on the road with people pushing like back in THE SIXTIES. And everybody believe the KEITH DIAZ nonsense about PAN TRINBAGO BEING the GLOBAL GOVERNING BODY of PAN. Utter nonsense!!!
Go read all the articles and see the intensity and sense of purpose with which the PAN TING is being pushed across America. Such a great angle for otherwise insignificant musicians to gain fame and income and academic recognition.
It's time for the EXPATS in this country to get organized and start moving the PAN forward.

While laughing at the silly disorganized negroes I am sure, who he is seemingly running circles around. Most likely he believes its because of his own cleverness, but never will he admit that a big part of the success of anything white people do is due to WHITE PRIVILIGE, especially when it comes AT THE EXPENSE of the negro. This is precisely the problem with some people who fail to realize that negroes and Europeans will NEVER be operating on a level playing field when it comes to ANYTHING, pan included, so why keep on making comparisons?
Its a white man's world and they run things, this is their paradise and a white man's heaven is a negroe's hell obviously, history will tell you this.
Why do people think that a people like the negroes, still reeling from the devastating effects of slavery and colonization, only to be held in the bondage of modern day neo-slavery neo-colonization could ever compete with the oppressor on ANY level, including the promotion of Pan?
Do negroes compete with europeans on the same level when it comes to jazz, hip hop, rock, r&b, or any other negro invention?
Why should steelpan be any different.
When you phrase the question such as you have, Mr. Gonzales, you make it appear as if something is wrong with the negro intrinsically for being disorganized, instead of realizing that there is a white supremacist structure in place globally to MAKE SURE that the negro remains stunted and disorganized!

A non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, also registered with the Charities Bureau of the Attorney General Office in New York State, was originally formed under the name United Steelband Association in 1998. In 2001 the name was changed so that membership could be sort, not only in the New York metropolitan area, but the whole of the United States of America.
New York - A new beginning, era and focus were ushered into the steelband movement as a new administration took the helm of the North American-based steelband music organization, United States Steelband Association (USSA).

This organization is going to embark on a very ambitious journey.
I must first apologize to past and present members, during my previous tenure, mistakes were were made, mistakes I must accept full responsibility for. I have been given another opportunity to lead this great organization and I intend to do that with transparency and by being inclusive, all members will be heard and all members will have an important and critical role to play with the development of USSA.
We are going to:
1) Amend our by-laws to reflect some things
a. The insertion of the word Caribbean in our aims and objects.
b. Erase the minimum requirement of players in a band seeking membership.
c. The inclusion of individual members such as Panist, Tuners and Arrangers.
2) The establishment of a Youth Education and Culture committee, allowing the youth of the organization to plan and execute projects and events, the further pursuit of educational pan programs in schools and preservation of the culture of pan.
3) Stop being a panorama only organization.
4) Establish an Events committee, to plan promote and produce events throughout the year.
5) To have more fiscal oversight over all events and projects of the organization.
6) The establishment of a training facility to teach the building and tuning of pans, have our very own pan factory, creating jobs and setting up our whole sale and retail outlets.
7) Reach across the ocean and America to form alliances with other Steelband organizations.
A few bands have resigned their membership, of course I wish they did'nt, but they have and I will like to offer my best wishes to them and their new organization.
In closing, with the lord's blessing we will be able to fulfill our task and continue making USSA successful. Thank you!
