  • Those wanting instant gratification:  If you want a quality product, you have to allow time to edit and produce it, then the producers have to replicate the copies and distribute them to the vendors for sale.  Also if you want a quality product in the future, you have to purchase the DVD or CD this time, not a pirated or duplicated copy.  These things cost significant money to produce and if they keep being a significant loss, they won't be produced in the future.

I am of the understanding the videos on YouTube are not official.  Again. if everyone watches it for free on YouTube, and doesn't purchase the product, Pan Trinbago won't spend the money to make the DVDs in the future.

The major reason that there are no DVDs of Brooklyn Panorama is that WIADCA didn't sell enough to come close to covering the production costs, people would buy one copy and duplicate it to sell or give to their friends.

    • The vids on YT are indeed not official nor are they great quality, from the internet stream. Looking forward to the higher fidelity DVD/CD product being available.

      • Noah, I noticed that in both the Antigua and St. Lucia panoramas a short musical interlude was performed by each band before their panorama piece to allow the engineers to get their record levels and mix right. The Trinidad engineers seem to use the first half of each bands panorama performance to get their levels right. The volume of the broadcast kept changing.  Do you really expect a quality product?

        • This is more important for sound reinforcement/amplification and live broadcast than for recording.  If properly recorded (and I have good reason to believe it was) any such adjustments are made in the post production process.  The audio on the DVD, and the audio for a CD, if issued, were recorded separately from the audio for sound reinforcement or the live stream.

  • I asked the same question on 08/09/2015. When and were can it be purchased? When Steel Talks, please, help a brother out!

  • The official videos are on YouTube
  • It's obvious that Pan Trinbago's planning lacked a measure of 'business'. That info should have been in the media as early as 10/8/2015. They should have known that ppl would be interested in audio or video of the event. Shame on PT. Say something for pan, PT.

  • There is a DVD being prepared for sale.  There may be a set of CDs, it was recorded professionally.
