Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Saturday January 18 is the big day for thirty-one small steel orchestras as they take to the semi-finals stage at Victoria Square in Port-of-Spain. All intend to make the final cut, having pushed through this far. Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - And the last shall be “first.” That’s the way things apparently ‘played’ out for the finals of the 2025 season of the Single Pan band component of the annual Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. San Juan East Side Symphony from the Eastern region, led by champion arranger Duvone Stewart and playing last in the competition at position twenty-five - trounced twenty-four competitors, and dethroned title defenders Chord Masters Steel Orchestra in the process. see results

 Tribute to Uric ‘Ragga dat’ Reid February 23, 1931-November 4, 2024Uric Reid aka Ragga dat travelled from sixth street Barataria with his friend Joe Roseman to rehearse with City Syncopators. Joe recalled playing second pan on Carnival days with Ragga and Kelvin Hart.
