Bands pulling out of Panorama as disenchantment grows

There is word today that some bands have begun pulling out of Panorama

News Power Now understands that this is as a direct result of the controversy surrounding players and the PanTrinbago executive.

Over the past few weeks, players have been expressing frustration over the non-payment of stipends and, what they call, the poor management at PanTrinbago.

Power 102.1 F.M has been reliably informed that Medium band Power Stars has pulled out and returned money to PanTrinbago.

Reports are that at least two big bands and one from Tobago are also considering dropping out of the competition.

Sources said that some big bands are now being downgraded to a smaller category because several players are still refusing to play.

Gerard Mendez, Chairman of the northern region to confirm this information but he would only say that players are in fact disenchanted.

    I agree Cecil and my apology but you have some people here who have that "nobody better than we stuck up attitude " Every band deserves a fair chance . You remember the "Toco Band" by Kitch. Well the Grandmaster must be rolling in his grave because he had respect for all steelbands in the twin islands. Ah lie !

..I dont get we people..we really like Crab in a barrel...and to who made the comment about Power Stars yes they had music and it was DONE before Xmas...as for Claude..again your immature comments seems to be showing your real backward way of thinking...ARE we really that foolish? this is my question weather the story is late yesterday or what the Problem still remains at hand..Diaz and company did not pay, it is Fraud to write checks that would Bounce. we seem to be getting down on bands WHICH MAKES CARNIVAL and not the present crime board that used the pan players funds for personal use-gain.

We can never move forward thinking like this..i dont know it all but Claude your an asshole. i really thought u had better common sense than that...i would like to know seeing that you know what power stars do and did not do...WTF have you done.. I have followed you and you protect Diaz but not the panmen/women so your just as guilty as Diaz and company.

The pan world need new Blood a vision for the future and not ones pocket...Pan should never a problem anywhere, WHERE is the Pride and JOB of our country...TIME to put ignorance aside and fight for what is right..cause CLAUDE as per your past comments your praising Diaz and pan men/women still not getting pay and to make it worst..you have yet to pay this but also cut there money to $500.. what person can live off of $500TT ...CLAUDE something really wrong with you..hope you get rid of your bullshit.

  Kevin: I am not the only one protecting and praising Keith Diaz!!! It have 107 bands (217 delegates or more) who are willing to vote for Mr. Diaz anytime a vote of NO CONFIDENCE or PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION comes up. So they are also protecting Mr. Diaz (The Right Honourable Keith Diaz). Don't put all the blame on me! I take the little money he pays me and I represent him on this forum.
