It will take decades for the AMERICAN STEELDRUM MUSIC MOVEMENT to switch to the NEW BRANDING -- if they ever do.And because of advancements in technology ... we will lose that war. But the insular thinking always dominates PAN PROGRESS.
Ah see ah man ask on PAN TRIVIA why THE CARIBBEAN MUSIC AWARDS was not held in THE CARIBBEAN ... that is the level of parallel island ignorance that will keep STEELDRUM MUSIC from exploding around the world.
And when will THE TRINIDAD performers ever learn HUMILITY? The responses from KES and DAVID RUDDER on their awards greatly lacked HUMILITY and somebody from the outside should have educated them in the AWARDS PROTOCOLS ... unless they are as angry as the AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY and don't know WHEN TO HUMBLE.
