Now most people would not see the CONNECTIONS HERE. So leh me explain THE POLITICS.
The girl from TOBAGO was supposed to win that seat -- by a mile!!! Because in BEVERLEY'S MIND she was supposed to be some kinda PUBLIC RELATIONS EXPERT. But SANDRA AWAII come and scrape below a razor blade and win THE POST. Well, despite BEVERLEY'S sweeping victory, she wanted that slot for her TOBAGO GIRL -- more than any other.
Well. except for MARCUS ASH -- but I will come back to that later down in ah next verse.
Man, Beverley and Denise and some others TERRORIZE Sandra until she nearly went mad -- end up sick almost in the hospital. So Sandra BOLT that BARN never to be heard from again -- and that made BEVERLEY very happy. But Beverley never bothered to replace SANDRA, so the PRO post remained open. Now, I could tell you all why -- but I don't want to complicate the report.
Now, that PAN TRINBAGO STAFF only have TWO WORKERS: MARCUS ASH is one and three quarters and Denise is a quarter. The rest of the staff they have make very little contribution to the BIG PICTURE.
Anyway, MARCUS ASH came up with a plan -- ah know that people like Cecil and Bertel and others think that BEVERLEY is the one generating all these ideas in PAN TRINBAGO. But I am telling the WORLD -- that is not so. There is only ONE BUSINESS BRAINS in that entire executive and that is MARCUS ASH. But let me get back to linking up the pieces.
So MARCUS ASH came up with this SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM and he decided to award 20 SCHOLARSHIPS; and as we all have read -- that ended up in a BIG BACCHANAL!!!
But this is how SANDRA AWAII fits in to the story and sheds some light on my claims of the shortsightedness of BEVERLEY. Yuh see, Sandra had MAJOR CONNECTIONS with corporate TRINIDAD. And if allyuh does follow this PAN TRINBAGO story, you will remember that RICHARD FORTEAU claimed that there were about 210 STEELBANDS in TRINIDAD. The more realistic number is about 180 STEELBANDS.
So now MARCUS ASH have 20 SCHOLARSHIPS to share among 180 STEELBANDS -- and unless he is CHRIST with the 5 loaves and two little fishes -- he cannot give SCHOLAR SHIPS to the entire multitude of 180 STEELBANDS. So he is 160 SCHOLARSHIPS SHORT of making STEELBANDS and HIS CRITICS HAPPY. In other words: He was not BULLETPROOF!!!
Now, if BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE had not fired SANDRA AWAII (on racial grounds) do you know how easy it would have been for SANDRA AWAII to find 180 COMPANIES in TRINIDAD to fund this SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. As they say in AMERICA: PIECE OF CAKE, for SANDRA AWAII.
EVERY SINGLE STEELBAND in TRINIDAD would have been GIVEN A SCHOLARSHIP one way or another. And MY EDUCATION OFFICER would have been OFF THE HOOK. (And I could have been on THIS FORUM asking my USUAL QUESTION: WHERE IS THE MUSIC?)
So you see, folks, BAD MIND BEVERLEY shot herself in the FOOT from MONTH ONE of her administration and now is POOR MARCUS ASH paying the price on THIS FORUM.
I admire MARCUS ASH for coming up with that SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM; although I feel sorry for him for taking all the LICKS that he is getting now. And I want to suggest to MARCUS ASH that he start a PAN RECORDING STUDIO in one of the PAN YARDS. He done know how to TAKE LICKS and you could well imagine how MUCH LICKS he is going to take if he chooses ONE out of ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY. And since I was always a SILVER STARS FAN -- I say start the PROGRAM with SILVER STARS PAN YARD.
OH LORD: More LICKS and MORE NEPOTISM CHARGES against MARCUS ASH.
But there is SALVATION if THIS EXECUTIVE could hire the RIGHT PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER.
Well, since MARCUS ASH is the only one doing any work in THAT EXECUTIVE -- BEVERLEY better give him THE AUTHORITY to interview and HIRE the next PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER.
It is a critical position in the organization!!! And filling it wisely (without regard to color, creed or race) could bring BIG DIVIDENDS to PAN TRINBAGO
