  • Hoping for the best again for the ISF/Big 5

  • I hope they give us some classics and jazz.
  • Ah hope dey play "GOING DOWN SAN FERNANDO" in this show. And ah hope dey KEEP a LOCAL FEEL to the show rather than trying to "Seem International" -- after all, CALYPSO and STEELBAND is the culture of TRINIDAD. If any band have ah problem PLAYING CALYPSO in CALYPSO then I recommend that they go down by NEWTOWN PLAYBOYS PANYARD and take a few lessons.

Dem NEWTOWN PLAYBOYS could play CALYPSO in CALYPSO like nobody ah ever hear before. Ah still listening to dey PAN ON D AVENUE 2017 performance and they seem to sound better with every REPLAY. Ah planning to give SUPERNOVAS ah good listen -- but ah doh know if they could reach me. If they play GOING DOWN SAN FERNANDO at the right tempo and don't fill the song with superfluous nonsense -- they might have a chance with me.

    • mi amigo, it would be more of the same, but good listening anyway man, I do HOPE you have a good eye, EARS and throat Doctor in L.A, lol...

    • Not just Supernovas, all of them, especially the Big Ten. For years "superfluity" has been the name of the game in arranging. Like JJJ says 'a lot of noise'.
In NYC panorama(?) listen to both D'Radoes and P.E.S.O playing the same tune 'Full Extreme'. Check them out. BTW, Claude, the opposite of "Superfluity" is your guy Andy N.
    • Mi Amigo, it look's like ah go have to change your name to HOPE, because all that noise has gotten"MONOTONOUSLY" LOUDER, dat is Y the NCC and Pantrinbago is doing what they're doing, they're NOT gonna pay anyone to JUST make NOISE...
