We’re no stranger to the styles and sounds of Blitz The Ambassador, as you well know, and his upcoming project DIASPORADICAL. The revolutionary MC from Ghana, West Africa returns with the final leak from the project, a track called “Hello Africa,” which was produced by Optiks.
As an artist, Blitz has created a sonic + visual adventure for us to accompany him with as he has proven to be the Motherland’s dopest MC product. “Hello Africa” is another evolution of The Ambassador’s growth as a musician as he dons the composer’s hat and fills the lush track with horns, steel pan drum sounds and some interesting nature sounds. Throw in some chopped-not-slopped into the mix, and “Hello Africa” gives those outside the continent an insider’s look as to why it is the place to be.
“I wrote this song while traveling around Africa this year,” Blitz said via Jakarta Records‘ Soundcloud page. “Almost every city I mentioned was from first-hand experience.” Listen to “Hello Africa” below as he shouts out Marrakech, Kigali, Lagos, Jo’burg and others while mentioning the Joloff Wars between Ghana and Nigeria.
