The West Indian American Day Parade has been postponed until September next year due to "uncertainties surrounding COVID-19," organizers say.
WIADCA, the organization that hosts the annual celebration of Caribbean culture, has announced a lineup of in-person and virtual events to celebrate this year, despite not hosting the parade for the second year in a row.
The events this year will be held in partnership with the Brooklyn Museum, with in-person events happening on location.
New York Carnival Week will kick off on Sept. 2 with the Vibes With Voicey concert tour at a venue that has not yet been announced.
