The Minister of National Security Senator the Honourable Gary Griffith is categorically denying accusations made against him, of moving towards militarizing the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and encouraging Police Officers to operate outside of the law.
Minister Griffith stated that those who have made these baseless accusations must be unaware of the existing checks and balances that are enshrined in the constitution of Trinidad and Tobago in relation to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, which ensure that the organization cannot be militarized by any politician.
