She said the ministry has been frustrated in its attempts to get information from Pan Trinbago.
“It has been difficult to get a straight answer,” she said.
Gadsby-Dolly said Pan Trinbago indicated that it had used some of the $5 million to pay expenses for the bands which came from Tobago.
“They say it was more than they anticipated, but this does not gel with the information coming to the ministry,” she said.
“I asked and received the financials for bands coming from Tobago and the figures do not add up. There is some confusion with respect to what they used the $5 million for.”

She said: “I can tell you that Pan Trinbago came to the NCC and asked them to provide an interim solution which involved signing a bank document but it is not something that the NCC could have done.”

Pan People let’s all get together and call out Mr, Beresford Hunte former manager, leader, and visionary of Tdad All Stars to come out of retirement and take over as interim leader. Mr Hunte farther was one of the first president of pan trinbago so he has complete understanding and has his pulse on the instrument and the players for quite sometime In addition I have no doubt after evaluating what Berry has done with Tdad All Stars over his 20 years as leader, manager he posses the skill to lead pan trinbago through these rough seas I look forward to hearing from regulars on this forum. One thing that all Pan Trinbago presidents to date have in common lack of testicular fortitude. And the problems with Pan and in turn Panorama has grown and festered since the eighties. None of them and in turn very few Pan people have been able to diagnose by simple acceptance that the real problem is one of gross dishonesty. Maybe it’s a Trinidadian thing…yuh know?…We always want a “small squeeze”…”gimme a lil summating off dey nah”…” a lil underhand”…”a lil blackmarket”…Yuh know?
So all who know that Diaz teef “de children and dem $30 million”, know to that Diaz also, as true to form with all his predecessors, refused to do anything about the skullduggery and anyhowness in Panorama. So all who find he must go, must find he must go for that too. Not just the Audi and the Greens and the unfinished headquarters.
He must go because he encourage arrangers to eat-ah-food too. He must go because he refused to stop band swapping, entire groups of players agreeing to representing one another’s band, which was even encouraged by Patrick Arnold too. He must go because the dishonesty is so rampant that young players really feel is ok to play for any amount of bands…even eighteen…just to get that “$1,000.00”. Imagine a man show up by my panyard on Thursday nite for he cheque, when he never even played with us…Eh?
So you telling me that people really doh know their worth? What business does an A Class horse have in a B Class race? If you represent a big band, how could you be allowed to represent any other band? .But nah boy….is de “govament cheque” dey want… de “$1,000.00”….Nowhere in the world, other than sweet sweet Trinidad does that happen in COMPETITION…well maybe in New York too, since we probably export the bad habit too. The same thing holds for arrangers …Big horse must run in big horse race…One player-one band….One arranger-one band…
Ah won’t call the name, but one the Diaz’s “heart attackers” running an entire ghost band…real long-time ten days mentality…but that is ok. It is alleged that a certain star player and arranger from one of them big bands while contracted to arrange for a certain band, also took up an offer to “drill” another band …in the same category….nutten wrong with that too…. But is all dat Diaz must go for. Not just the $30 million.
I will say it now and say it again if I have to…It doh matter who replace Diaz, Photo, the entire executive…Until we replace DISHONESTY with FAIRPLAY, we spinning top in mud…And we only cutting road for another Diaz, Arnold, Serrette, Smith to run…and the story continues…”All strive. well since yuh going on your apology tour yuh better make an exception for PATRICK ARNOLD too because I had a hand in his rise to power.
Nah nah nah...not Patrick Arnold...it is alleged that he was involved in a band swapping scheme too, plus he was powerless to stop Boogsie and company from having dey way and agree to let dem arrange for a one band in each category...Plus the decision to let bands choose old tunes...which I know is a way to give arrangers time to arrange for more than one band easier since they could do the music even in the year before...
After Rolly Polly is taken from the hospital to jail with D Photo right behind him - we must consider The Dolly for woman of the year. Standing up and doing the right thing against the Trini-Grinch in Gangstaville after he has stolen the all the Pan children Christmas money to be applauded. Big UP to The Dolly.
So what exactly was the NCC going to do if The Dolly had not stepped in? Looks like the NCC Boss might end up in a cell next to Rolly Polly and D'Photo.
