"Carnival City"

Trinidad and Tobago needs a place where everything in the name of Carnival can be held. A space like Las Vegas, Atlantic City or Disney World. Where in the Center of it all is A Stadium equipped with luxury and economical booths and seating for all... Food courts, Bars etc. for various competitions.

Live pan and calypso everywhere. Surrounding hotels, stores(clothing, books, music etc.) museum, Restaurants, Bars, Pools (lol) etc. the works. All of this money spending in T&T year after year, why not put it to real good use to benefit the country. Employment and increased tourism. Is this too farfetched an idea? I'm sure it's not original? What do you think?

  • This would need a heavy volume of tourist year round and I don't think we are set up for that.

  • I suggest that everyone should read " The Musings of Smokey, Elton " Smokey " John on Hub Pages.

    Thanks.

    • Selwyn, I read "The Musings" and I noticed that the Bands "Train Smoke" was involved with there was no mentioned about the Band "City Symphony" that he represented in the National Steelband, that's how he was able to get pick in the National Steelband.

Its good to hear that he did well for himself in the Pan world. He had played Bass for City Symphony, but he always wanted his Bass part to be Easy, If it was too difficult he would Complain, so he did came a long way. Those were the days of City Symphony Captain (deceased) Fenwick (Michigan) Noel and Cordell (Spongy) Barbour. I had known "Train Smoke" personally. (Bless his Soul)

    • Selwyn, you talking bout "Train Smoke" (deceased)  from City Symphony?

  • Are the Trinis living on oil money or are the "rich" Trinis living on oil money... what about Joe and Jane who want to "eat ah food"... it isn't so much about tourism but about facilitating our culture by solving the logistical problems we often complain about ie. the greens, crime, the "free-ness" via de drag, complimentary tickets etc....
