Stoke, Staffordshire, England - Organisers behind a popular carnival have been given £10,000 to start a new music project.
Members of the Six Towns One City Carnival Association (STOCCA) was given the grant by the Big Lottery Fund to help start a community band.
The 'Steel Returns to Stoke' project will involve weekly classes held at the NORSACA Caribbean Centre in Hanley this autumn.
They are currently looking to recruit new players.
