The main Chroming Shop for steelpans on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago, was burnt to the ground.
The fire apparently occurred in the early hours of the morning.
The Chrome Factory stated, in a telephone conversation, that all operations are suspended until further notice and they'll be in touch with all their customers very soon.
One thing is certain, the steelpan community suffered a huge loss.
We are saddened by the events unfolding and are sorry for the losses incurred by the Chrome Furnishers Ltd. and probably many of their customers.
The Steelpan manufacturing sector needs some quick intervention, Pan Trinbago, The Government or maybe by some the Big Boys with Big Pockets
With "Prosperity in Pan" in mind lets wish the Chrome Furnishers Ltd. a speedy return, to the fantastic job they have been doing over the years, serving the Steelpan manufacturing sector in Trinidad and Tobago.
