  And there in lies the problem. The majority of the players who are playing for 10 and 11 bands, do not have the skill and are skating through the music. I know some of them who have done this and they admitted that they cannot learn all of it. They speak in terms of percentage of the music and never in terms of perfecting the arrangements. They make up the numbers in the band for the preliminary rounds and that has been the focus. This is not good and may I say even fraudulent, because they are being paid to do deliver a service which they know they cannot provide.

I think yous is missing the point,,,,COMPETITION? I COULDN'T CARE LESS,I NEED TO PAY BILLS AND THAT TAKES MONEY,,,,BETTER I SING CALYPSO, AT LEAST THEY GET DECENT PAY FOR THEIR SKILLS. WHY IS IT THAT THEIR SKILL IS WORTH $1000000,AND A PANIST 'SKILL IS ONLY WORTH $1000,,,,AND WE SHOULD SETTLE FOR THAT? AFTER SPENDING TWO MONTHS STANDING IN A PANYARD EVERY NIGHT,,,I WANT TO BE PAID,DECENTLY.$1000 IS INSULTING TO ME .IF A GUY COULD HANDLE PLAYING FOR TEN BANDS,,,,DO IT. WALKING AROUND WITH A WINNING BANDS TEE SHIRT AFTER CARNIVAL ,DOES NOT PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. HAVE A BLESSED CARNIVAL.

Tell everybody that PAN PLAYERS should be able to sell their skills at carnival time and play (against themselves) for as many bands as possible. Tell everybody that the 10,000 PAN PLAYERS who play for PANORAMA should each be paid at least $10,000 for the season. Tell everybody that PANORAMA is a level playing field COMPETITION and not a corrupt government handout where players HUSTLE FOR DOLLARS. And don't forget to tell everybody that the JUDGES are musical geniuses who bring objectivity and fairness to the COMPETITION ANNUAL HUSTLE!!!
