PRESS RELEASE - This year even with the world economic recession threatening the close of several small businesses in St. Lucia, furniture and electrical giants Courts; affirms their pledge of continued financial sponsorship to local Panaroma Champions – Courts Babonneau Steel Orchestra.
During a press conference held at the company’s Marisule branch on Thursday July 09th, a cheque totaling $25,000 was presented to the band manager – Mrs Marilyn Mc Donald and the band arranger Mr Allison Marquis by the company’s OECS Marketing Manager, Mrs Anita Phillips.
Courts St. Lucia having pledged financial support to the Courts Babonneau Steel Orchestra for the past fifteen years amounting to over $300 000 views this sponsorship as part of the company on-going efforts to give back to the communities in which we operate.
In her address to the audience, Courts Senior Marketing Manager, Mrs Anita Phillip pledged continued support to the band for the years to come. Shecommended the band on the high level of dedication and commitment through the years which is testimony to the love for the art. Courts Babonneau Steel Orchestra has carried the name of the superstore since 2000 and the relationship between the two entities is one that is continuously growing.
Allison Marquis, the band’s musical director, thanked Courts for their unwavering support through the thick and the thin throughout the past 15 years. The band Manager, Mrs Marilyn Mc Donald praised Courts for their support of the art form especially at a time when financing and preparations for the competition is not without its difficulties. She commended the company for their unwavering assistance and promised a spectacular performance that she hopes will bring home the crown.
