That was an interesting article, you all should go down and read it.
But my problem remains singular: WHERE IS THE MUSIC?
Plenty MUSIC EDUCATION has been acquired by many of our PLAYERS (in and out of TRINIDAD), so there is no SHORTAGE of HIGHLY MUSICALLY EDUCATED PAN PLAYERS in TRINIDAD and in our GLOBAL POCKETS.
But I don't see any MUSICAL OUTPUT proportionate to representing THE EDUCATION EFFORT.
Maybe in her BOAST to turn PANYARDS into CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE -- BEVERLEY could set up two or three minimal recording studios in two or three PAN YARDS and give the band members with an interest in that aspect of PAN MUSIC a chance to EXPERIMENT and start developing some recording skills SPECIFIC to the PAN. This is a good LEGACY PROJECT for BEVERLEY..
You buy three E-PANS from SALMON CUPID and you link them up the STUDIO EQUIPMENT (bring down SALMON and have him set up the whole process) and then these YOUNG PAN PLAYERS start their EXPERIMENTATION.
In the outside world, a lot of WHITE BOYS are fiddling around looking for the RIGHT RECORDED TONE from the PAN -- Real or Synthesized. The edge that we have on them right now is that they DO NOT KNOW what tone they are LOOKING FOR. But they have the head start -- technology-wise.
What's the use of the nut without the TREE?
What's the use of the PAN without the MUSIC?
Look!!! Ah just give BEVERLEY a simple, implementable idea!!! But that woman doh listen to me at all at all!!!
