Official donation of steel pans to Diamond Steel Orchestra
Castries, Saint Lucia, W.I. - The Diamond Steel Orchestra is making a much needed come back onto the local steel pan scene and the St. Lucia carnival generally.
The resurgence of the Marchand based band was handed another lifeline this week when Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative Philip J. Pierre officially donated steel pans to the organization.
....The new facility named The Gregory “Shining” Emmanuel Pan Shed, after its founder and steel pan icon, is situated within the Marchand Ground sporting complex.
