Just like in POLITICS where you have a pool of PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS who play musical chairs with controlling the Government, WE could expect the same thing to happen in PAN TRINBAGO once this current executive is completely replaced. All the bench warmers will step up to replace the DISGRACED CREW and I am sure that they will bring ZERO CURRENCY to the GLOBAL CHALLENGE facing PAN TRINBAGO.
Maybe they might bring a little bit of honesty (I say maybe! Truly -- I doubt it!) but "not stealing the money" is a FUNDAMENTAL.
VISION and PROGRESS should be the OBJECTIVE of the NEW ADMINISTRATION and I don't see how the OLD GUARD could change their mindset enough to match the RAPID PROGRESS that is being made with PAN OUTSIDE OF TRINIDAD. Especially in AMERICA!!!
Frankly, I would like to see TWO EXPATS on this NEW EXECUTIVE but I know that will never happen!!!

Ah think we need some AFFIRMATIVE ACTION in this NEW PAN TRINBAGO EXECUTIVE.
Put one INDIAN and one WHITE TRINI and one CHINEE TRINI and one BUSINESS MAN and TWO EXPATS (odw should be one) and we could fill out the rest of the EXECUTIVE with the USUAL SUSPECTS.
PAN TRINBAGO cannot just be about PANORAMA anymore. PAN gone TOO GLOBAL for that. THE USUAL SUSPECTS need some VISION from outside the STEELBAND. How yuh going to "maintain strong ties and work closely with Musicians’ Unions in countries wherever steelpan players perform, so that any industrial and/or labor disputes involving steelbandsmen could be properly handled" when you cannot even manage the LOCAL SCENE.
I don't expect CHANGE until there's organizational RESTRUCTURE.
This is an organization with an identity crisis; it’s hard to have a vision and measure progress when you don’t have CLEAR and STATED objectives.
NCC website states… Pan Trinbago is a cultural organization which was incorporated by Act of Parliament, 5 of 1986. It formerly operated and was registered as a Union representing the interest of steelpan players. The general membership of the steelband Movement decided that it would better serve their interests in the development and promotion of the steelband, to become incorporated by an Act of Parliament here in Trinidad and Tobago, the birth place of the steelband and the main center for the propagation of this art form.
Pan Trinbago expects to maintain strong ties and work closely with Musicians’ Unions in countries wherever steelpan players perform, so that any industrial and/or labor disputes involving steelbandsmen could be properly handled.

Kieth Diaz said Pan Trinbago is a FOR-PROFIT business.
Cindy Rosemin who resigned as Assistant Secretary of Pan Trinbago said she thought PT was a NON-PROFIT organization.
Pan Players CONFUSED they thought Pan Trinbago is a UNION representing their interest.
Culture Minister Nyan Gadbsy-Dolly said Pan Trinbago is a private non-government organization. Adding: “But our nexus is that the organization gets significant funding for Panorama, which is the major national festival for the year. When it comes to Government funding we have to be very circumspect.” She then took away their government funding and gave it to NCC to manage Panorama. I rest my case.
Boi you used a real broad brush to paint that picture. There are a lot of bright people in the Mecca that can bring positive change to the steelband movement, the problem is, "who and how' they will be chosen.
