MORGANTOWN — Three different bands filled Spruce Street with the sounds of music, Sunday, during a free concert sponsored by Wesley United Methodist Church and CB Studios.

Pantasia, Steel Away and Joyous Noise performed in the Morgantown Marketplace Pavilion each playing music on steel drums.

The concert is part of the Concerts in the Loft series, held on the second Sunday of each month.

Donations were accepted at yesterday’s event. Proceeds went to Scott’s Run Settlement House’s Backpack Feeding Program.

The program provides 2 items each for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with some fruit and snacks to make sure kids have food on the weekends, said Shay Petitto, director of Scott’s Run Settlement House.

To volunteer or donate visit srsh.org or call 304-599-5020.

Kerry Lilly, host of the event, said normally the concert is in the evenings. Yesterday’s event was moved to the afternoon to accommodate another concert later that evening.

The next Concerts in the Loft event will be held 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 13 at Wesley United Methodist Church.
