Well, odw is 1000 times more qualified for THAT JOB than me. And ODW and GLENROY are the ones who did all the ARCHIVING -- I just go and STEAL their HARD WORK and bring it on THIS FORUM.

My perspective is a little different. I have a FASCINATION with CALYPSO LYRICS that I will take to MY GRAVE with me.

And I tend to want to just ENJOY THE SONG for MYSELF -- because I consider that to be MY CULTURE (WELL yuh think I could come in the STATES and say I LOVE JAZZ -- yuh mad oh meh LARD OHHH) -- and watch the development of the STORY LINE and the metaphors and the RHYMES (I did an interview with REGGIE JOSEPH in BROOKLYN and he told me that what CALYPSO LOVERS like most is THE RHYMES -- a good TOPIC for discussion) and the absurdity and the exaggeration and the standard universal tools that LYRICISTS use to deliver their observations and messages in every country.

As an example of rhymes (and I not sure that I totally agree with REGGIE JOSEPH on that specific point -- but that would be a nice discussion), the way ALVIN DANIEL rhymed "BORN" with "FUN" in THIS FEELING NICE ... draws a chuckle from me every time I listen to that CALYPSO.

I WILL CONTRIBUTE to the REQUEST, but that is REAL HARD WORK. Because as anybody with any sense of FREE ASSOCIATION could tell: My choices are DATED!!! So I will have to go through some of the more recent RECORDINGS to bring some more MODERN SONGS to the DISCUSSION.

And as most people may realize, there was not much of a DISCUSSION except for EDDISON JOSEPH!!!

Lord, one time I came on THIS FORUM to work for CECIL HINKSON -- now they want me to work for ODW and GLENROY!!!

And since we are on this point, I think that a lot of READERS do not POST CALYPSOS and PAN MUSIC (This is a PAN FORUM, EH -- who knows that more than me) is simply because they do not know HOW TO!!!!

So maybe a member of the WHEN STEEL TALKS CREW could come on THE FORUM and walk the readers through THE PROCESS. And then people could PUT UP all the PAN MUSIC that they SO LOVE -- and AH LIL CALYPSO here and there!!!
