Trinidad and Tobago Newsday
Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Edwin Pouchet, leader and arranger for PCS Nitrogen Silver Stars Steel Orchestra, who died on Saturday of a heart attack at West Shore Medical Complex in Cocorite, after ailing for some time, will be laid to rest at the Lapyrouse Cemetery on Friday, following his funeral service at the Assumption Church in Maraval.
Pouchet 57, arranged Silver Stars’ two National Panorama victories, but was unable to arrange for the band this year. Instead the band had US-based musician Liam Teague arrange for them, while the other band for which Pouchet arranged, Katzenjammers of Tobago, looked to Len “Boogsie” Sharpe to take over arranging for the band last year, after Pouchet fell ill at their panyard in 2012.
