  • despers to winn cause of their draw

    • Bede: Yuh still smarter than ever!!! The draw is a bitch!!!

  • In the finals this year, we have four songs being played by four pairs of bands. Not to be disrespectful of the other two bands, based on the preliminary and semifinal results, I doubt either will be competing for the top three spots. That then leaves us with essentially looking at the winner coming from one of the four pairings. As a side, at the Olympics in Rio, Wayde van Niekerk won the 400 meters race from starting position 8 (meaning he was in the outside lane out in front of the other runners who could see him while he had no idea where they were during the race). I see Renegades as the van Niekerk in this final. All they must do is execute, paying no attention to those following, and let the others try to make up the point spread. I am a Phase II fan and would love for them to pull it off but, baring that, I think Renegades have the winning presentation this year. It could be close, but I think Renegades will do it. BTW, van Niekerk won the race, extending his lead to take it in WR style (Take a look at the race if you have not seen it. It was fun to watch).

  • Cecil,.....a transition is taking  place amongst the  steelpan music arrangers in panorama ...the old ones are still there but the younger ones are slowly taking over!....peace and love!

  • A call for Ian Franklyn:
    Ian
Can you verify whether any band
since the inception of Panorama that pulled position. 1,
won as well as, won pole to pole?
If so which band and what year.

If this feat has not yet been accomplished then I assuredly sense history in the making.

    • It's been done at least twice. I remember Desperadoes doing it and All Stars most recently.

      bugs

    • DESPERADOES 1991 Musical Volcano Robert Greenidge!!!

    • A.L, yuh mean the youth go rough-up all them old boys?

      • Eight bands playing four tunes and each time it's a young arranger and a old one, like the young boys lookin to rough-up the old boys in 2018, very interesting.
