HERE IS MY FULL REPLY:

Make Pan Trinbago the Ministry of Pan. Oh Goddard!!! lmao. Some of these ideas are really dangerous and not well  thought-out. The day that happens, we can all say goodbye to pan, as we know it. Not the mention, if the Government is the one governing and in control, then who defends the worker - the pan player, tuner, arranger, scientist, inventor, etc., against the government, when they do not seek the former's interests and/or well-being. Salah, I am with you on this one. The organization should function as a non-profit workers' union, and the day that happens, is the day that the masses of panmen and panwomen in Trinidad and Tobago, will regain their power. People seem to forget the days when the association was the second largest workers' union in the twin-island nation, and ALL the respect they got from the government, was because they were powerful. How many government agencies do we have that are failing the everyday person, to add another. This will be a total handover, and again, EVERYTHING , including the face of the pan player will change. Forever. You people really need to look back at history, to get an essence of how these people think. They will drive you into extinction. This is a very bad idea. Very. Not saying that we shouldn't have a separate ministry for pan; I like that idea. But keep the union seperate as watchdogs, to make sure they play fair, and keep fair. Look at the local news over the past 48 months, or so. Same politics, different party. imho.
