‘Fun in the sun’ to warm Marshall Philharmonic patrons at concert Sunday

Missouri, USA - On Sunday, Feb. 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium of Bueker Middle School, the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra will present the third concert of its 47th season featuring MUSteel, a Caribbean-style percussion ensemble from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

....MPO conductor Kevin Lines heard Mizzou's steel drum band under the direction of Julia Gaines a year ago at state music conference. It was then that the collaborative effort began to bring the group to Marshall for a joint concert with the community orchestra.
