Happy Birthday Robert..........best wishes
Happy Birthday to the one and only.
Hello Big Mike,
I met your brother as Pan Trinbago's office. I showed him your name in my book and he wants a copy. I have to call him. I mentioned your CD and he said that he has one also. Well! I am enjoying my retirement in T&T. I thought that I could have imported a lefthand drive into T&T. But it is murder, the insurance companies would not insure you and the ones that will costs an arm and a leg.
Happy birthday Robbie, wishing you god's richest blessings. Have a great one.
Happy Birthday Robert. Do you know that you are the youngest pannist to visit Africa at 16 in 1966. The first to be victorious at panorama on your first attempt at composing and arranging in 1991 and the third to led a band to victory performing at the no.1 position. From 1991 through 1998 you were in the top-three (4) times with two victories and two thirds. You missed a third spot by 1/2 a point in 1993. You are the only arranger of a fab-five Steel Orchestra that always made the panorama finals. You are also one of the five men that won panorama as a player and later as an arranger. And yes all this information is in my book. (lol) I hope that you will be available for panorama 2013. We may not be able to pay you (smiles). You can call me on my majic jack in T&T (954) 380-4590

Happy Birthday to you Robbie, lots of love always.
Mr. Robert Greenidge, we are ALL blessed to claim you as one of ours. You have shown such class throughout your career, and your character matches your talent. Although I never met you, I just want you to know how proud I am of you, and how much respect and admiration my dad, George "Sonny" Goddard, had for you. Very few young men impressed him. I feel that the greatest honor I can pay you, is in the memory that you are the same young, Black man from Laventille, that our country now scorns and profiles as only gangsters, criminals, and drug dealers. I honor ALL the young, Black men of Laventille, who today, though not as famous, still continue to do good in and for their community, and serve as fine role-models for their peers. May the next Robert Greenidge RISE!!! That is the best gift the Laventille community can give you. You are a fine ambassador to our beloved twin-island nation, and an inspiration to ALL in the pan fraternity. Shem Em Hotep (May you go in peace.)
