  • Tony Happy birthday you may not remember me but I am Vidol Young;s brother
  • Happy Birthday to you. God's richest blessings to you. You are a master. I still remember you for your diligence, patience, tolerance and your colurful arrangements. You were the greatest in your era. Thanks for what you have given to us in pan and music. The master, par excellence.

  • Happy Birthday to you Sir Anthony. I will never forget you and your Pan Am North Stars. You and the steel band were amazing in your time and mine. I was a fan in Trinidad in New York to witness Pan down 5th avenue etc. I too was sorry that you did not accept the world tour, and no need to look back in regret. You opened the door to the world acceptance of pan as a musical instrument. For that I will always honour you and your pan men.

  • Happy birthday Skip. You have done wonders with the steel drums, an ex: the over size pan/s you created and now its called the G pan.
Its my pleasure having the opportunity to see every day working in my back yard @ #59 Bombay Street, St James, playing on my then six bass pans, your arrangements and travelling as the youngest player with the then Panam Jet North Stars.
I do agree with Mr Horace Morancy, you should of moved on and stay outside.
My family and I salute you as Dr. Anthony Williams.

  • Your name is synonymous with the steel orchestra. I wish you A Happy Birthday and many more!
  • Happy Birthday to you Mr. Williams. My earliest memories of Pan was listening to Pan-Am North Stars, and this has remained to this day. Many more years of continued blessings...Hope to meet you soon.
  • Mr Hoace Morancie are you the same person that was responsible for Managing the affairs of BWIA Subjets when they performed at Radio City Music Hall in 1965. My name is Arthur Blenman and was a Tennor Pan Player on the mentioned Radio City Music Hall performances with BWIA Sunjets. God's richest blessings
  • The best, a true giant. I will remember forever his leadership of Pan Am North Stars. The orchestra's visit to New York City, USA. of which I was influential in making happen. Performances at Radio City Music Hall, Carnege Hall, Macy's Day Parade, Ed Sullivan Show and much more.

In my humble opinion Toney's major error in his life and for the history of Pan was returning to Port of Spain. Toney was influenced by one of his pannist and the coordinator, who travelled with the orchestra, to return to Port of Spain T "to play under that Mango tree in St.James," as opposed to a USA and World Tour that was arranged by Leon Leonidoff the Director of Radio City Music Hall.

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday and many more Maestro Anthony "Pan Am North Stars" Williams The Giant of the Steelpan World. Horace L. Morancie, Brooklyn (The Capital of the Caribbean), NY, USA
    • Hello Mr. Morancie

I am intrigued by your statement. What do you think would have been the impact on the steelpan movement had Tony Williams remained in the USA and gone on that tour?

      bugs
    • Happy Birthday to the greatest Pan man! @ Morancie you are so right that was a huge mistake. My dad Robert "Bullet"Thwaites and uncle Lynn Barton was two of the pan men to play under Tony on the World tours.
