This is a very good gesture in starting a retirement fund for panman & women. Although PanTrinbago do not take part in WST dicussions they are doing a lot behind the scene for PAN and for pan folks.
Every Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Keith Diaz host a pan program on i955fm.com and he shared a lot of informations what PanTrinbago is doing, callers to the program ask keith all different kind of questions and he answer all questions.
As far as help for the older pan veterans the Government of T&T offer all citizens over 65 and older $3000.00 TT$ monthly plus NIS for citizens 62 and older.pan folks like Anthony Williams, Bertie Marshall are taking care off the media like to sensationalize issues to make the authority look bad.
You have to appoint a liaison in Trinidad who can give you a true picture of the panman & women who needs help.
Andre, We thank you for taking part in this discussion and appriciate everything you have shared with us. I have contacted someone in T&T whom I think will be a excellent liaison and is now awaiting his reply.
I think it would be in the best interest of Pan Trinbago if they took part in some of the discussions we have here on WST, by not taking part makes them look very immature.

Greetings: I received an Email from a bredren only to learn that I had not explained my self with reference to donations. First a thousand pardons for not explaining the position more explicitly. Let me attempt once more. Tricanbooks is a business. It can only sell its products. In this case, books. It cannot solicit donations. In order to perform this service, it would have to be another type of corporation and that would require a 501 C3 designation which is issued by the IRS. To receive any money designated to Trican books without any purchase cannot be entered on the spread sheet since no product is purchased. If the check were to be made out with my name, this too, would be illegal since I am not a non profit Corp authorized by the IRS. To accept any of the above can put my business in jeopardy; In the latter case, I can be charged with soliciting funds illegally and the penalty is either a fine and or jail plus deportation. This is a federal charge. May I suggest as an individual you can make a donation directly to the person(s) you want to help. I would have preferred our approach since it is collective. Finally I do not know if WST has a 501 C3 designation but regardless I will still give the discount even though I may not be able to claim it as a tax write off. Guidance Dr. Lance Seunarine.

Hameed this is a good question, the correct way to answer you is no, right now all our energies are going into selling the books so that we can accumulate enough money to give out. When the time comes the Doc. says that he would ask people to submit names.
At this point the Fund is struggling, members are skeptical about coming on board for whatever reason but the Doc is determine to make this thing happen so I will assist in what ever way I can.
We all have to move beyond just discussing a topic, we have the ability to make real change, we can do things to help real people.
