State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) welcomed the Herkimer Elementary Steel Drum Band to Albany on Tuesday.
“Music groups from around the state perform regularly in the Empire State Plaza concourse, but none draw a crowd like the Herkimer Elementary Steel Drum Band,” said Senator Seward.
....In 2008 Senator Seward secured a senate grant of $10,000 to purchase new equipment and help expand the program to Herkimer high school students.
