Historical Panorama information needed.

We are trying to find out the furthest semi-final position a large steel band has ever come back from to win panorama on a final night.

In other words has a band that placed 4th or below ever rebound on final night to win panorama ?

Thanks for the historical information.

  • 1986 Trinidad All Stars placed 9th in the Panorama and on the final night placed 1st playing "he Hammer". They scored 252 in the Semis and 293 in the finals to beat Phase II by 1 point.

      • Hi

I did not do the lyrics for "This feeling Nice". I believe that wa sReynold Howard. I did many othe songs for Boogsie including "Mind yuh Businees" and Misbehave that were also sung By Denyse.

    • Mr. Alvin Daniell: I am still MESMERIZED by your lyrical construction of "THIS FEELING NICE"!!! And the sociological depth and complexity of the message.

I am glad that I got this opportunity to say that to you.

    • According to Gideon Maxime they placed 9th overall in prelims with 252 points. I believe they placed 2nd in semis (283 points) but please correct me if I’m wrong!

  • ..........Look out for the Greatest Runback in Panorama History........RADOES......"STEP ABOVE THE REST"

  • Thanks Zeke for sharing your knowledge.

Finals night presents much intrigue for 2023. Like Mr Hinkson alluded to, I'm wondering if Despers, All Stars, Phase II or any other band can top either Renegades or Exodus this year.

    Love for Pan!

    • RENEGADES cannot be TOPPED!!!

  • Don't think Despers could come from behind in 2023...

    • While it would be a tough job indeed, I could never underestimate Despers' ability.
