  • On October 25th, 2009 THE RIGHT HONOURABLE KEITH DIAZ received 152 votes to defeat the incumbent Patrick Arnold’s 116, at the  Annual General Meeting/Trinbago Triennial Convention held at the East Mucurapo Secondary School, Mucurapo, Port of Spain, Trinidad.

    The Election of Officers to the Central Executive was the highpoint of the day’s Convention. Some 70 steelbands were eligible to vote.

    At the end of the exercise, three (3) officers were returned.

    After his victory at the polls, the President pledged to work with all member bands and steelpan organizations worldwide as he seeks to take the pan even further.

    Diaz also took the opportunity to thank all those who supported him in what he has described as the largest turnout for an AGM in the history of the steelband movement.

    And now that GYPSY and DOLLY give THIS MASTER POLITICIAN  a THREE YEAR CONTRACT to run PANORAMA until 2021 -- DEFINITELY NOT in 2018!!!
