All the talk about diversifying the economy through the arts and globalizing and monetizing PAN and SOCA should be put to the test in an informed and constructive way. Handing out MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in $5000 GRANTS mostly to the PARTY FAITHFUL does nothing to MOVE THE MUSIC FORWARD. It is all about COMPOSITION and MUSIC PRODUCTION and MARKETING.
This "NEVA GOING TO LEAVE" just opened a door that I have been waiting to see us enter for decades now. I am not even sure that THE GUYANESE know what they did. But they had to have some kind of insight because they could not get there BY ACCIDENT. I eagerly await their FUTURE PRODUCTIONS. And I wish that THE TRINIS could STEP UP FOR ONCE!!!!
