There was an old white dude from Sweden who came ON STAGE (at the ICP) and complained on behalf of Middle Aged Female SWEDISH Pan Players about the RINGING that accompanies some notes on the PAN and the effect that it was having on their EARS and HEARING. He was looking for SOLUTIONS.
Brother, they nearly run that old man off the stage: How dare you come to TRINIDAD to criticize ANYTHING PAN?
Especially when men attending the most PRESTIGIOUS PAN EVENT in steelpan history -- slapping each other on back and high fiving and gallerying about all their individual accomplishments and contributions to the INSTRUMENT -- locally and globally!!! (Ah leave out the MILLION PLANS everybody had to make PAN bring in MORE MONEY THAN OIL!!!)
But you have some good connections down there. And I see that you found the ONE STEP starting point in your last posting. As I said before, this is NOT my cup of tea but I do see how I can make a contribution to the cause. So I am tracking YOUR PROGRESS while I check out a few things!!!
