GUYANA CHRONICLE November 13, 2020
“India is an energy-hungry nation and 85 per cent of our petroleum requirements are imported. So we would love to work with the Government of Guyana to import oil, if possible, from Guyana on a long-term basis, and Guyana gets a secured buyer for all its oil annually,” he told the Guyana Chronicle.
The High Commissioner had noted that Indian companies such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharrat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) – all State-owned companies – would be interested in buying crude from Guyana in the future.
If Charles Ramson Jr (Minister of Culture) could figure it out, he could get some of these "invading countries" to develop THE STEELBAND MOVEMENT IN GUYANA beyond everybody's WILDEST DREAMS -- with MINIMAL INVESTMENT from the GUYANESE GOVERNMENT. (Except my WILDEST DREAMS -- since I have always seen a brighter day coming for GUYANA.)
And I am not talking about NO SMALL TIME SPONSORSHIP as happened in TRINIDAD -- yuh know. I am talking about MAKING GUYANA the WORLD LEADER IN STEELBAND ... across the board.
I sent my PAN PROPOSAL FOR GUYANA to PRESIDENT Irfaan Ali -- but that is a LONG SHOT. POLITICS is about rewarding PARTY PEOPLE -- so accepting some proposal from some RANDOM OUTSIDER is not going to happen.
But they could really take over THE STEELBAND WORLD right now if they have THE VISION. PAN in TRINIDAD is dead and the country is DEAD BROKE (plus all they do is TIEF THE PAN MONEY, anyway) -- so my only hope is for SOME CARIBBEAN COUNTRY to run with the ball -- GUYANA is the PERFECT CANDIDATE!!!
