Keon Cupid started playing the steelpan in 2006 at the age of sixteen. His
love for the instrument began after he was captivated by the sounds
emanating from his secondary school’s steelband, which he overheard
while training with the school’s football team. He immediately inquired
about joining the band and the rest was history. During his tenure with the
band he rose to captain and his leadership helped pilot the band through
winner’s row in local school steelband competitions.
Orchestra -2000. He also played with the 2000 World Steelband Music
Festival winners TCL Group Skiffle Bunch for approximately four
years. Today, he continues to perform professionally as a soloist
specializing in intimate events, with notable live performances at the
Crane Hotel in Barbados in December 2015 and the MusicTT’s Live Music
District event at the Kaiso Blues in April 2019.

into the arts of music composition and production. With the help of the
knowledge honed from a Certificate in Music Technology attained from the

albums consisting of original singles and cover versions. In April 2019, he
