How can the NCC declare there will be a Panorama when the players have not yet made that declaration? Is there a back room deal going on with PT without the players knowledge?
One thing we do know for sure is that the NCC needs the 2017 Panorama to go on more so than anyone out there. Remember the Express article recently posted by Pan Times

...NCC chairman Kenneth De Silva, however, said the North Stand remains the only profit centre in Carnival and so to do away with it completely would not make for good business.
“There are all kind of figures floating around, but I can tell you the construction and break down of the North Stand costs just over TT$2 million. It will (for 2017) gross TT$5 million making it the only profit centre in Carnival,” De Silva said.
De Silva said for Panorama semi-finals alone the stand holds 7,000 patrons at a cost of $400 a ticket. He said further schemes are being constructed to boost attendance at the venue's other events: Dimanche Gras, Kaisorama, King and Queens.
“Do the math, in one event it pays for itself. What we are trying to do is lower the prices for other shows. If we can offer the stand at say $100 a person we can raise attendance for these other shows,” he concluded.

No steelband is willing to give up the kaka-dah they get for panorama, for some it's all the make for the year.
A few players made the declaration but the big bands have their eyes on the MILLION DOLLAR PRIZE and Keith Diaz got to get his $100,000 out of that. The show will go on and all who protesting and emoting for the camera today will be in the savannah gallerying behind dey PAN for the PANORAMA.
