Toronto, Canada - Every summer, over one million people come to Toronto to celebrate Caribbean culture and tradition. It is North America’s largest street festival, this year it runs from July 28 to August 1. It is four days of fun festivities and ends with a spectacular Grande Parade!
....You can’t have a festival without music!
The sounds of the Caribbean festival come from the steelpan, often called a steel drum....The musicians who play the steelpan are called panists.
...Panists get to show off their musical talents at the OSA Pan-Alive Showcase [Friday July 29] this year.
