New York, USA - It was an evening of Jazz on Pan - and music lovers did not even have to journey into the city ‘proper’ to experience two and a half hours which showcased the skills of some of the finest young steelpan musicians this region has to offer, along with a headline act.

Yes!  Andy Narell the man most responsible for promoting the instruments. He does it while always making sure to give full credit to Trinis and the pioneers of steelband. Yet we continue to hear so may Trini haters criticize this man.  Beats me man.

As happy as I am to receive e mails from  WST about reviews of pan events, I wonder why we do not learn about them until they are over? Many times I am  amazed to learn about a pan event that has already taken place or is the next day with no way to plan ahead to attend. If word got out far enough in advance  of an event,  attendence might be improved.

Hi Eric,

I too am guilty of not always clicking on the events link at the top of the page. I have found that WST in their defence always whenever possible include up and coming concerts, broadcasts, and such like.

 

The message is ... always use the links to get as much info as possible.
